Description:
This Joe DiPietro play centers around Nick, a single, Italian-American guy from New Jersey. His parents retired and moved to Florida. That doesn’t mean his family isn’t still in Jersey. In fact, he sees both sets of his grandparents every Sunday for dinner. This is routine until he has to tell them that he’s been offered a dream job. The job he’s been waiting for—marketing executive—would take him away from his beloved, but annoying, grandparents. He tells them. The news doesn’t sit so well. Thus begins a series of schemes to keep Nick around. How could he betray his family’s love to move to Seattle, for a job, wonder his grandparents? Well, Frank, Aida, Nunzio and Emma do their level best, and that includes bringing to dinner the lovely—and single—Caitlin O’Hare as bait…we won’t give the ending away here

Main Stage Theater:

Over the River and Through the Woods (Feb. 18, 19, 25, & 26.) – This Joe DiPietro play centers around Nick, a single, Italian-American guy from New Jersey. Well, Frank, Aida, Nunzio and Emma do their level best, and that includes bringing to dinner the lovely—and single—Caitlin O’Hare as bait…we won’t give the ending away here.

Always… Patsy Cline (April 22, 23, 28, & 29) – This play by Ted Swindley is more than a tribute to the legendary country singer who died tragically at age 30 in a plane crash in 1963.  The show is based on a true story about Cline’s friendship with a fan from Houston named Louise Seger, who befriended the star in a Texas honky-tonk in 1961, and continued a correspondence with Cline until her death.  The musical play features 27 of Patsy Cline’s songs featuring – Anytime, Walkin’ After Midnight, She’s Got You, Sweet Dreams, and Crazy.

The 50th Anniversary Variety Show (Aug. 19 & 20) – Join the Hartland Players’ for a night of memories as we celebrate of 50th Anniversary.  An assortment scenes and songs from previous plays and musicals will be performed throughout the night!  It’s a celebration you won’t want to miss!

Clue (Oct. 14, 15, 20 & 21.) – Based on the popular board game, this comedy begins at a dinner party hosted by Mr. Boddy, where he admits to blackmailing his visitors. These guests, who have been given aliases, are Mrs. Peacock, Miss Scarlet, Mr. Green, professor Plum, Mrs. White, and Col. Mustard. When Boddy turns up murdered, all are suspects, and together they try to figure out who is the killer.

Encore Youth Theater:

Shrek The Musical Jr. (March 17, 18, & 19) – Beauty is in the eye of the ogre in Shrek The Musical JR., based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and fantastic Broadway musical.  It’s a “big bright beautiful world” as everyone’s favorite ogre, Shrek, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance.  Part romance and part twisted fairy tale, Shrek JR. is an irreverently fun show with a powerful message for the whole family.

TBD (Dec. 1, 2, & 3)

All shows will be performed at the Hartland Music Hall, 3619 Hartland Rd (Avon), except for Shrek the Musical Jr, which will be performed at the Performing Arts Center, 9525 E. Highland Rd.
